Yes, at first it’s annoying to weigh out foods, track foods, ect but it’s also teaching you portion control, healthy eating habits and so much more. On the other hand, I think it’s really important to be independent and not live the test of your life carrying around a food scale, checking your fitness app before you eat, ect. For myself, I’ve given up tracking my #macros on the weekends. @jai_fitness made an incredible post the other day, discussing how she didn’t track a meal and how she still payed attention to her body’s signals and appetite. That’s so powerful to be able to do that. I teach people the importance of learning proper nutrition and adequate macronutrients for themselves. After a period of time we work together to understand how not to depend on trackers and scales and succeed with weight loss long term. ✌️ If you were to ask me a year ago if I’d just eat.. Without measuring, weighing and NOT have a breakdown over it, I would have told you it was impossible. My faith and trust in God is the only explanation for how I’ve gotten this far 🙏 Happy Monday.
